What a day!

Soo, yesterday you know how I promised to blog! Well, I get to the office to work and I got an update for my computer. I updated the computer then bam, my wireless keyboard stopped working! So my one assistant Nick and I spent the whole day trying to get my keyboard to work so I could work!! Frustrating!

I also had a wedding cancellation for Sept 19, 2009. So if anyone is looking for that date I'm now available! Makes me sad they were an amazing couple and ..sinf.. they didn't like there engagement session due to miss-communication.. when I'm told we like the area we want landscape not a bunch of close ups... I shoot landscapes with them as they key item not a bunch of close ups! But after the session they ended up wanting close ups! I offered a new session to get them more pictures they wanted and to make sure for the wedding date we were on the right track! However, they felt more comfortable just going with someone else! My only cancellation ever in 5 years! It happens.. just darn.. I want everyone to love what I do!

So moral of the story.. This people is why its sooooo important to shoot an engagement session with your photographer. One thing sometimes means two things two different people! Or just simply you over express something and its mistaken as that's only what you want! So when you hire your photographer its a key to do an engagement session with them. Even if its only for 30 min or something. Just for that reason you want to make sure everyone is on the same page for the wedding day! Plus you never want to break the ice with shooting with someone on the big day! There is enough stress and ice breaking that day.. you don't want it to be with the one person your with the most that day! So quick side note.. I do include my engagement session complementary in all of my packages! Just because I NEVER want the above to happen at your wedding!

So then there is today! Everything is going good... money is back into my checking account from my paypal fiasco! I'm actually getting stuff done.. on my laptop.. wireless keyboard still isn't working.. then my online gallery site starts acting weird... then its just not acting at all! However, that's almost fixed.. I MIGHT of accidentally deleted an important element to the html code... oops!! Easy enough fix, just takes time! Soooo... I'm still trucking along waiting for my friend to get back with my car so I could run some errands. Then I get a call... 'Ummm, Rhonda I looked everywhere I think your car was stolen!' What?!? (some choice words)..** (maybe a few more choice words and some tears).. I was so upset! Couldn't believe it... first its my account getting hacked and 5 grand vanishing from my checking and now my car has been stolen! WHAT! So I call the cops they advise me to call city towing... city towing doesn't have any record, darn! ((This was probably the first time someone prayed and hoped their car was towed.)) So ..more choice words.. I drive up to my dear friend Steve and cops are on the way! Were all baffled that someone would steal a car with my name and info in big bright letters on the back of the car! Still waiting for the cops Steve and I are talking.. He's telling me that he parked right there because it was a busy street.. pointed at the place where my car was.. then got quiet looked at me and said.. oh (choice word) I think I might of actually parked a few streets down. So he goes running off.. I'm waiting for the cop. Steve and the cop shows up at the same time and HAPPY WORDS Steve found my misplaced car a few blocks down. The cop was glad, no report for him to write this time... I was joyous.. Steve felt like a "donkey."

So moral of the story.. don't ever assume that you will remember where you parked. Always write it down because after walking around for a bit its easy to get turned around.

So didn't get as much as I wanted done today but at least my not so stolen car was found. Till tomorrow!
