Abby and Kirby - Wedding

So today was Abby and Kirby's wedding! We were so lucky with the weather.. it was beyond amazing outside! We all had fun taking pictures and Abby and Kirby are so in love! I think its just great to photograph a wedding thats all about love and family and this wedding took the award for that! I've never seen so much family involvement with a wedding before! We had fun and got some great pictures of our amazing Abby and Kirby!

It was great seeing everyone from the day before on top of everyone else that came to support Abby and Kirby on such an amazing day! I must say for only knowing them for a little less then 11 months I feel like I've gained new friends! Abby had me as an emtional mess during the father daughter and mother son dances. They played a slideshow for each dance that was based on Abby and Kirby for there first dance and then for Abby and her Daddies dance she had a slideshow going that was about Abby growing up and had the same thing for Kirby when he danced with him mom. I CRIED LIKE A BABY! Thank goodness it was darkish inside so no one could tell!

Well, I have to get going to bed! Its almost 1 am and I have an engagement session tomorrow and another wedding! YEAH for amazing weather!!

Abby and Kirby Rehearsal

So today I went and met my amazing Abby and Kirby at there wedding location at the Lemp Mansion to test the light. Since they were getting married when it was DARK out (5:30 pm) we wanted to make sure I could capture something. We did and it was great meeting all of Abby's girls and Kirby's guys! Abby's parents are about the sweetest most kind people I've ever met! Dad and I just played with the spot lights the got to get the best possible lighting. I think we did a good job and I can't wait till there wedding tomorrow!

Other then the rehersal Mitch and I were super busy at the office getting caught up with edits! I love taking pictures but the hours sitting in front of the computer isn't that much fun. We did it though and worked! Now if we could just get the internet to start working properly at the mall I would be a happy camper!

WERE MOVING!! -- It's Official!

So its now official and Rhonda Jean Photos is moving! So even though I love being at Crestwood Mall and my people around me its time for a change. Rumor has it that the Crestwood Mall is going to be torn down as of March, however, Crestwood Mall cannot confirm or deny this rumor. But from what I've been told and my mother being very involved with the different school districts and that apparently the schools are really upset that the new mall isn't up yet. So this makes me very nervous especially with me being due in March. There is no way I can get my studio packed up and moved closer to March.. it would actually be rather dangerous for me being as pregnant as I will be. So after much discussion with my husband and the thought of maybe moving work back into home.. which I really didn't want to do. We came across Chesterfield Mall and they are renting only a few spaces out to artist. I wasn't sure if they would accept my hours but they did so Rhonda Jean Photos is moving.

So if you know Chesterfield Mall I'm moving into the old Master Cuts Hair Salon. Its just about perfect for my style and needs! Were going to change a few things but nothing as major and time consuming as the my soon to be old space at Crestwood Mall. We will be starting our move sometime next week and I hope to have it done before the end of November with our Grand Opening in December. So fingers crossed that all goes very well and we open on time and on budget! I will forever miss my first store and the people that helped make it happen! I wish I could of stayed forever but I know forever can not happen!

So were moving and if you want to give a helping hand.. I'm sure we can work something out! I do take amazing pictures and all! So just so you know I'll be in and out of the office for the next couple of weeks as we get the new space set up! Oh, and our number will be changing.. which is probably for the best.. I still have tons of calls for doctors and lawyers. I've never had so many calls from different jails in my life! So my 314-293-1513 number will still work.. I'm just going to transfer it to the new number which will be a 636 number. So I'm not sure how much longer I will be able to get my 314-968-2400 number to work but I will keep it forwarding to whatever new number as long as I can and I will be sure to have it posted and changed on my website as soon as I know what's going on!

And finally, Mitch and I are getting caught up on all of the portraits we've taken over the past couple of weeks. It's been REALLY hard to stay in the office and work on edits these last few days but we've been kicking ass and taking names off our to do list and were not three weeks behind anymore! YEAH! However, we have Abby and Kirby's wedding on Friday and then Jessica and Levi's St. Louis picture extravaganza and reception on Saturday along with an engagement session. So were good to go and ready to enjoy some amazing weather this weekend!

Matt and Nikki - Parent Album

So I'm finally done with Matt and Nikki's wedding albums. Matt and Nikki finally came back from Iraq to get a house and for Matt go to back over to Iraq for another year! What a brave man, but he's doing it for his new family and there future! However, it took tons of threats and lord only know what else for Nikki's mom to sit down and pick her pictures. However, after things I don't want to know or mention we finally have a wedding album approved and on the way to her mom. Matt and Nikki were so funny when they called me with the picture selections! Love you guys and Nikki your mom is quite funny and I'm sure looking at your wedding pictures made her miss you while you were over in Iraq!

Clint and Katie Moss - Wedding Album

So Here is Clint and Katie's wedding album! Katie was another one of my brides that went a little crazy on picking out pictures for her album and ended up with a rather large wedding album. She loves it ant that is all that matters!

Baby Ultrasound!

So I know I'm only a tad behind on everything! But I'm finally getting a chance to upload the baby ultrasound that we had taken Oct 26, 2009. Now, as you may know were having a baby girl! So that is super exciting.. exactly what I've want!

Now, as many of you may wonder and worry about how a new addition will affect Rhonda Jean Photos. The only month it will truly affect anything will be the month of March if everything goes as planned. I'm due March 17th and I don't plan on going back to work till April 5th 2010. So I'm taking the month of March off and possibly the end of February to finish up house stuff and get ready for the new baby and hopefully get in as much sleep as I can. However, after April 5th lucky for me I can take baby with me to work unless I have a shoot and lucky for me I have a great hubby, grandma and great grandma right at home. So when I have a wedding I can send our new little girl and daddy over to great grandma's so Mommie can get a full night sleep! So I can't wait till weddings come around.. MOMMIE gets sleep! So to help this new moms sanity.. book Rhonda Jean so I have a reason to sleep the night though!

Now, while I'm gone our dear favorite associate photographer Mitch will be in the studio to keep up with people and have the shop open. I'll come in for the occasional meeting.. maybe.. big MAYBE! However, Mitch will keep me up to date with everyone and there is email! Email will be my way out of the crazy new things I'll be going though!

Now to the ultrasound picture! Do you see the Teddy Bear Head (even has teeth) eating our babies head! Its freaking crazy! Its all I can see when I look at this picture..

Lisa and Larry - Album Design

Well, here is Lisa and Larry's Album design! There album is finally getting finished after taking them over a year to even look at their album and then getting to go places like Hawaii for a few weeks to be able to get back to me on final design! I love you guys.. and I'm glad your finally going to have your album.. just the way you like it!

Looks like were having a baby girl!

So we had our doctor apt today.. and of course baby Kowald didn't quite corporate for 100% verification.. but as far as we could tell.. it looks like were having a baby girl! I'm still really worn out.. so this is short and sweet! But I have at least the photos of me today 19 weeks and 3 days! I'll get ultrasound picts up tomorrow!

Well, it was a great day to do a bridal show! I met some great people today and as usual had fun with my fellow vendors around me. I also had fun making the baby dance to the music.. a sight to be seen!

Busyness!

Well, things have been crazy busy! I'm actually kind of glad that its been raining it means no portrait sessions outside and Mitch and I get to work in the office. Things are starting to catch up were still slightly backlogged on edits but its not too bad anymore. Thanks Mitch! I've been frantically trying to keep up with emails and getting products produced and turned around.

Other then being so busy were spending more time out of the office then actually in it things are good. Right now I'm super excited that Imaging USA, a huge photography convention/seminars etc.. is going to actually be close in Nashville, TN. So I'm hoping that MItch and I get to attend.. its still a bit pricy but at least I don't have flight fees on top of everything.. so hopefully we will be out learning and having fun Jan 7th-12th.. and I hope I'm not too big.

Speaking of Pregnancy.. things are actually going great! I can eat.. I can drink water... You have no idea how great it is to actually be thirsty and being able to do something about it.. without immediate and horrible side affects (aka puking). I still can't do wedding cake... which is so depressing! I love wedding cake and can't even take a nibble! Not one nibble! Sigh.. hopefully after I have our little baby.. that I can start eating wedding cake again! The only non fun thing that happened and actually was quite terrifying and horribly painful was just a few days ago I got really sick and actually ended up tearing/straining my lower stomach muscles. I was terrified to say the least.. I just knew I was going to loose the baby.. I couldn't cough.. breath.. sit up on my own... Luckily I have a great husband that made me see reason and that I hadn't puked in such a long time my muscles were not use to it and since our little one sits low I ended up hurting myself. So the next day I felt much better... still tinder but I could breath, walk and do just about anything.. just have to be a little slow with certain movements! So despite that one horribly terrifying night (I even cried for my mommie.. she made fun of me the next day) things have been 100 times better! Now my latest obstacle I need to master is how much to eat... well how little to eat actually! But that just causes some discomfort and a little bit of heartburn.. so its not that bad! Anyway... We find out Monday at 2:15pm what were having! SO EXCITING!

Today I did a half of a day.. actually I worked earlier in the morning and left work around 3:30pm to go home and spend some time with the husband. We were suppose to finish doing the hardwood floors before I'm suddenly to big and can't be crawling around on the floor. However, the rain NEVER let up so it was kinda impossible to cut the wood outside.. so that chore is going to hopefully be moved to a date that I can't help.. just waddle around and look cute. ((Fingers crossed)) So instead we got to finally do our pumpkin carving and had tons of fun doing it. Plus we got to make some salted pumpkin seeds.. oh ya.. SALT! ((I'm still being good with my addiction to salt!)) Afterwards Andrew and I were going to spend some very much needed pre baby quality time together. We went to the "man cave" and started talking about stuff we could go do.. then suddenly all I knew it was dinner time! Guess I was a bit tired.. so now its 12:30am and I'm not very tired at all! Thats the only "suckie" part about taking long naps! I'll post pictures tomorrow of our super duper cool pumpkins! Now I'm going to TRY to sleep!

Trista and Tony - 5.16.10 - Engagement

Today Mitch and I got up early on our off day to meet Trista and Tony at forest park for their engagement session. Trista and Tony may look familiar to you.. Trista is my dear cousin and well Tony is soon to be family! Their wedding is coming up in May and the craziest part is that I'm going to have a two month old at her wedding! CRAZY! Amanda and Scott - Engagement

After getting to trump around in some cow "stuff" Mitch and I headed over to The St. Peters Rec Plex. for Amanda and Scott's Engagement session. They are getting married in Jan in Maui and wanted some great pictures here in St. Louis. We got to share the Rec Plex area with about 100 other photographers... and boy was it a place and a day to take pictures. The sun just made the trees glow! Jennifer and Lucas - Engagement Session

Mitch and I got up on this beautiful morning to head to a Dairy Farm to take pictures of Jennifer and Lucas. The Dairy Farm is owned and operated by Jennifer's family and it was so very cool! Mitch and I could of spent a very long time there.. but we couldn't and we made the best of it! The most exciting part to at least me is that we got a set of pictures of them with some baby cows! The ones photographed are just a few days old! Enjoy!

Okay so I slept in till the very last min today before my two engagement sessions. However, I'm now sharing Jon and Kara's wedding day pictures! Despite the cold it was a beautiful wedding, gorgeous couple and cold... cold... cold! However, there was no rain so that is a blessing!
